Our new topic is ‘All about us’. The children will learning about themselves, others and families. We will be going on local walks to look at all the different houses/flats that we live in. We will be talking about different occupations, cultures, our bodies and keeping healthy. If you have any ideas or wish to come in and do an activity with the children, please speak to a member of staff. We will also be celebrating Easter in the week commencing 21st March.

We are so please that Tapestry is now live to all our parents. We hope you have been enjoying looking at your child’s development. Please feel free to add comments, videos and pictures of your children on Tapestry. It is important that you have an input in your child’s development. Thank you to those parents who have been uploading their own pictures / videos we have linked them to your child’s development records.

Fee Increase

In April 2016 our daily fee will be increased to £47. This is due to the increase in everyday living, as well as increase in minimum wages. With your April invoices you will receive a breakdown of costs.

Clothing / Slippers / Toys

Can you please ensure that your child’s name is clearly labeled on your child’s clothing especially coats. Also can we ask parents to provide their child with slippers while at nursery and ensure if shoes are wet these are put on before entering the playrooms. We would like to ask that parents refrain from allowing their child to bring toys into the setting, these can be kept in their bag in the porch but can we ask for them not to be brought into the playrooms. If they get lost or broken the nursery will take no responsibility.

School Places

In April you willing be hearing back to which school your child has been accepted into. If you could please let management or your child’s key worker know which school they will be attending and we will contact all schools in hope of visiting, getting teachers to visit or receive pictures of classroom which we can start going through with the children to get them excited about their next adventure to ‘big’ school.

Signing in/out

Please can I remind parents to ensure that you sign your child in/out when arriving or picking up. This register is used in case of emergency, and although staff do head counts and checks, this is also the responsibility of parents/carers.
